Lucia Ware is a range from Boksburg East Potteries in Boksburg, South Africa. The compact rounded body has no handles or painted decoration, allowing the black glaze and continuous curve to define the shape. Posy vase describes the form here; the original catalogue name is unconfirmed. It offers a contrast with the maker's longer trough and gondola designs, while retaining the same emphasis on a glazed decorative surface.
