Outstretched wing relief and a central bird motif give this turquoise BEP Ware model 3103 posy vase its elongated outline.
The underside is marked BEP WARE and 3103, identifying the piece as BEP Ware, associated with Boksburg East Potteries in Boksburg, South Africa. The broad wings extend towards pointed, upswept ends on either side of the central bird. Its long, low body differs from an upright vase, and the turquoise glaze brings the feather-like moulding into relief. The BEP WARE marking is retained as the listing's identification rather than relabelling the piece Lucia Ware.
