Description

An English ironstone dinner plate by Broadhurst, decorated in the traditional Willow pattern with the classic landscape of pagodas, a bridge, boats, trees, and birds in cobalt blue on a white ground, framed by detailed geometric and floral borders. The durable ironstone body and bold, well-printed decoration make this a robust and attractive addition to a Willow pattern collection or table service.

Broadhurst was a Staffordshire pottery producing transferware tableware for the domestic and export markets throughout the 20th century. The printed backstamp reads "Willow", "Broadhurst Staffordshire", "Ironstone", "Made in England", and "Detergent and Dishwasher Proof", confirming the maker, pattern, and English origin. The backstamp is consistent with vintage 20th-century production.
