Description
The Flute Player appears in burgundy transfer on this Delft Holland plate from the marked Old Masters Series.
The reverse identifies the Special Limited Collector’s Edition Old Masters Series and names The Flute Player as its subject. The transfer image is framed by a decorative floral border, giving the plate a formal collector’s-plate presentation. The backstamp names Delft Holland and the series but does not identify the ceramic factory, so the description records the brand and subject without assigning an undocumented producer. The plate forms part of the same marked group as Morning Ablutions and The Lace Maker. Its series wording is the available provenance, and no more specific production date is recorded on the plate.
