Description
Burgundy and blue flowers, green leaves and a yellow neck band bring several colours together on this rounded Dutch vase. Dark outlines define the rim, neck and base, while the flared opening rises above the cream-ground floral decoration.
The underside is marked Delfts and Made in Holland, with a painted number that appears to read 333. These supplied markings record Dutch origin, but they do not establish a specific factory, so the maker remains unattributed. The production period is estimated as mid-20th century rather than a confirmed decade. Its polychrome decoration offers a different palette from traditional blue and white pieces, while retaining floral subject matter within the store’s Dutch pottery selection. The yellow band gives the neck a distinct visual division above the rounded body and its outlined flowers. Related pieces appear in the Delfts ceramics collection.
