Description

Fenton Art Glass Company's Holly pattern is one of the most collected early American carnival glass designs, and this marigold stemmed compote presents it in a form that combines elegance with strong pattern attribution. The warm orange amber iridescent bowl, flared ruffled rim and clear glass stem with circular foot give the piece a refined, display-ready profile.

The Holly pattern is associated with Fenton Art Glass Company of Williamstown, West Virginia, and is well documented in stemmed compote form. The date is given cautiously as early 20th century, circa 1911, in line with recognised carnival glass catalogue wording. The piece sits naturally alongside other Fenton carnival glass examples in the Carnival Glass collection.
