Description
A scalloped rim frames the central blue flower on this small RAM dish, with repeating floral motifs and blue border lines set against a pale cream ground. Its compact proportions bring the painted centre and shaped edge into close relationship.
The underside carries a painted ram’s-head factory mark, Delfts Blauw, RAM and Made in Holland, together with number 215 and the initials AB. The supplied identification attributes the dish to Plateelbakkerij RAM in Arnhem, Netherlands. Its estimated production period is the 1920s to 1940s, although an exact year is not established. The factory wording and additional painted references remain part of the piece’s identifying record, rather than a basis for assigning an unverified painter. Its decoration belongs with the store’s selection of Dutch blue and white pottery. Related pieces appear in the Delfts ceramics collection.
