Description
At 33 cm tall, this Ravenhead mouth-blown glass vase has the kind of elongated, tapered presence that commands a shelf or windowsill, and the delicate black trailing lines around the lower form add a handmade specificity that distinguishes it from factory-produced decorative glass.
Made by Ravenhead of England, this vintage vase features a white glass body in an elongated tapered silhouette with fine black trailing line decoration applied around the lower form. Ravenhead, based in St Helens, Lancashire, was one of Britain's most significant glass producers of the 20th century, producing both functional and decorative glass of consistent quality. The mouth-blown production method, confirmed by the slight irregularities characteristic of hand production, gives this vase a warmth and individuality that machine-made glass cannot replicate. The monochrome palette and restrained decoration make it a versatile piece that suits both vintage and contemporary interior arrangements.
