Description
A blue floral bouquet fills the centre of this Royal Delft wall plate, with large tulip-like flowers, smaller blossoms and leafy stems on a pale cream ground. A floral border and fine blue rim lines complete the circular composition.
The reverse bears the De Porceleyne Fles bottle mark, JT monogram and Delft wording, with further painted initials and number 450. A retailer’s label reads Focke & Meltzer, and two hanging holes are formed in the foot ring. The supplied reading of the painted year code is CL, suggesting 1967; that reading remains qualified rather than a confirmed date. The piece is identified as made in Delft, Netherlands, and the recorded hand-painted decoration connects the central bouquet with the surrounding floral border. The reverse markings provide useful context alongside the visible painted design. Related pieces appear in the Delfts ceramics collection.
