Description
Cornish Kitchen Ware is one of the great icons of British domestic ceramics, the bold blue banding on a cream body as instantly recognisable as it is enduringly appealing. This T.G. Green Original dinner plate is a well-preserved 20th-century example in very good condition.
Made by T.G. Green of Church Gresley, Derbyshire, Cornish Kitchen Ware has been in continuous production since the 1920s. The bold blue banding on a cream earthenware body has remained the defining characteristic of the range across a century of manufacture. The dinner plate, at 23.5 cm in diameter, is the most versatile form in the range, suited equally to use at the table and display on a dresser or shelf.
