Description
This Beswick koala combines expressive animal modelling with a carefully painted cluster of eucalyptus leaves.
Model 1089 is shown seated with raised arms holding bright green leaves. The grey-brown glaze, cream chest and painted facial and paw details give the figure a naturalistic finish. The documented model design is attributed to Arthur Gredington and places the piece within mid 20th century English Beswick production. It is a distinctive addition to the Beswick collection and the Figurines collection.
