Vintage Beswick Benjamin Bunny Ears Out Shoes Out Figurine

This Beswick Benjamin Bunny retains the visible ears and outward-held shoes that identify the first version of this familiar form.

The figure wears a large green Tam o' Shanter style hat and carries a brown shoe in each hand. The printed base inscription records the Beatrix Potter character, F. Warne and Co. Ltd., the 1948 copyright and Beswick England. Modelled by Arthur Gredington, the Ears Out, Shoes Out design was introduced in 1948 and remained in production until about 1974. It links the Beswick collection, the Figurines collection and the Collectibles collection.
