Description
This Booths British Scenery A8024 small bowl features a richly detailed cobalt-blue pastoral scene, with cattle beside water, ducks and a rural cottage. A border of grapevines, fruit, foliage and wheat surrounds the scene, while the gently scalloped rim gives the 14 cm bowl a decorative finish.
Made in England by Booths, the bowl carries a blue printed crown-and-Booths backstamp reading “Booths”, “Made in England”, “British Scenery” and “A 8024”. The mark identifies the maker, country of manufacture, pattern and pattern number. The A 8024 mark is associated with post-war production in the mid-20th century, although an exact year is not confirmed. The bowl is in excellent condition, with no chips, cracks or damage.
