This compact Copeland Spode demitasse cup and matching saucer bring the celebrated Italian pattern to a refined coffee service format.
Made in England by Copeland Spode, the set carries the firm’s blue printed mark with the Italian pattern name and English origin. The cobalt transfer decoration combines an Italianate landscape with the ornamental border associated with this long-running design. The cup and saucer remain a matched pair, suited to espresso or after-dinner coffee service as well as cabinet display. Minor age-related discolouration beneath the cup reflects normal use and does not detract from the decorative face of the set. The exact production period is not confirmed by the available markings.
