A miniature ceramic ewer with a rounded base, slender neck, extended pouring lip and tall curved handle. The glossy black glaze is decorated with a gold floral design, with gilt edging around the rim and handle.The underside bears a gold Crescent Potteries mark with the wording Rose Ware and Hand Painted. Made in South Africa. The extended lip and high curved handle create an open outline above the rounded base. Gilt edges repeat the colour of the floral decoration and separate the black silhouette from its surroundings.
