Description
A hand-painted windmill scene anchors this scalloped oval Delfts Blue serving dish, framed by a border of small floral motifs.
The oval form has pierced side handles and a shaped rim, giving the dish a balanced profile for cabinet display or occasional serving. Cobalt brushwork carries across the windmill landscape and decorative border. The reverse is inscribed ‘Delfts Blue’, ‘Handgemaakt’ and ‘Made in Holland’, with the initials JB and a crown-like device. These words record the Dutch origin and the handmade description, but the initials and emblem do not identify a verifiable pottery. No production date is recorded.
