Description
A Dutch blue-and-white ceramic side plate decorated with a Willow-style landscape in cobalt blue on a white ground. The design features pagodas, trees, birds, and waterside buildings, surrounded by geometric and stylised floral borders that draw on both the Willow pattern and the Delft-style decorative tradition. Measuring 17.5 cm in diameter. Two are available.
The reverse bears an impressed circular mark reading "Delft Blue POTS Holland", confirming Dutch origin. No verifiable named factory is identified by the visible mark, and the maker and production era are unconfirmed. The quality of the cobalt-blue decoration and the traditional landscape design are consistent with Dutch Delft-style tableware production. Both plates are in very good condition throughout, with no chips or cracks.
