A South African glazed earthenware vase by Drostdy Ware, featuring a broad fan-shaped body, dramatically flared points, gently undulating rim, narrow stem and circular pedestal foot. It is finished in a glossy cobalt-blue glaze. Measuring 20.5 cm (height) × 23 cm (width). It is in very good condition, with light surface wear and no visible chips or cracks.
A partially surviving triangular paper label on the body identifies the maker as Drostdy Ware. Much of the label’s printed detail has worn away, and no form or catalogue number is visible.
