A vintage South African earthenware vase produced by Grahamstown Potteries Limited under its Drostdy Ware name. It has a squat rounded body, short cylindrical neck and rolled rim, finished in a glossy dark cobalt-blue glaze. Measuring 9 cm (height) × 11 cm (width). It is in very good condition, with age-related glaze crazing and light surface wear but no chips, cracks or visible damage.
A surviving paper label on the base reads “Grahamstown Potteries Limited”, “Drostdy Ware” and “Grahamstown C.P.” The label provides direct evidence of the pottery, range and place of manufacture.
