Description
This numbered KLM house reproduces the Keizersgracht building at number 439 in a compact ceramic form.
The blue and white miniature is modelled on the building at Keizersgracht 439 in Amsterdam and measures 11 cm high by 4 cm wide. The back displays house number 61 with KLM and Bols marks. Its base reads Blue Delft’s exclusively made for KLM by Bols Amsterdam 1575 and is impressed 2010 and 61. The marks connect it to the KLM and Bols house series, but do not identify the ceramic factory. The original product information records the miniature as empty, with its seal intact. Its slender shape makes it easy to arrange with other numbered houses without obscuring their forms. The impressed date is the clearest period evidence on the piece; no earlier manufacturing date is claimed.
