A South African glazed earthenware planter vase by Lucia Ware. It features an elongated trough form with a softly lobed body and gently undulating rim, finished in a vivid yellow glaze. Measuring 8 cm (height) × 20.5 cm (width). It is in very good condition, with age-related glaze crazing and no visible chips or cracks.
The moulded form appears in the Lucia Ware catalogue as number “3301”. The underside also bears an impressed number “498”, which may be a separate mould or production reference, although its precise purpose has not been confirmed.
