Description
A named Dutch trade scene gives this compact De Hamrooker plate a clear place in a Delfts collection.
The blue and white ceramic plate shows a traditional workshop scene within a floral border. Its front title reads DE HAMROOKER, identifying the subject as a ham rooker, while the base bears the crowned Oude Molen Fabriek B.V. crest with Delft and Holland inscriptions. These marks identify the maker and state the origin shown on the piece, but they do not establish a production date. Measuring 1 cm high and 11.5 cm wide, the plate is sized for a shelf, cabinet or plate stand, where the small scene can be viewed at close range. The title, border and marked reverse provide several distinct points of interest without relying on an unverified date or series history. It is recorded in excellent condition with no chips or cracks.
