Description
This unmarked Gouda-style ceramic vase has polychrome floral decoration with a black glazed rim and foot, and stylised Art Nouveau and Art Deco influenced flower and leaf motifs in brown, ochre, cream, turquoise, blue, and green. The base appears unmarked, so the exact factory and origin are not confirmed. The piece has the decorative character associated with Dutch Gouda-style pottery, but without a readable factory mark it is catalogued safely as Gouda-style art pottery rather than attributed to PZH, Regina, Zenith, Flora, Ivora, or Goedewaagen.
Visible crazing, age-related rubbing, surface wear, small glaze losses, base wear, and staining are noted.
