Description
This Arnhem Holland Dutch art pottery vase has a hexagonal form, glossy black ground, and bold stylised sunflower decoration in yellow, ochre, teal, green, and purple tones. The base is hand-marked Arnhem and Holland, with additional unclear marks that may include a decor name beginning with Zon. The visible Arnhem and Holland wording supports an Arnhem Holland classification, though the exact factory and decor name are not fully confirmed.
The piece has an early to mid 20th century Dutch plateel-style character with Art Deco-influenced form and floral decoration. It is catalogued safely as Arnhem Holland Dutch art pottery rather than Gouda Ware, PZH, Plazuid, Flora, Zenith, or Regina. Visible crazing, staining, rubbing, small glaze losses, base wear, and a small pale glaze loss or chip to the lower base edge are noted.
Dimensions: 5 cm (H) x 9 cm (W)
Condition: Good, with age-related wear as noted.
Product Type: Ceramics
