Description
Plateelbakkerij Flora of Gouda, Holland, produced a wide range of hand-painted decorative pottery through the mid to late 20th century, and this jug in the Aster pattern is a good example of the factory's floral output. The decoration features orange-yellow flowers, green foliage, pale turquoise-green shading, and yellow rim detail, applied by hand to a cream earthenware body. The handwritten base mark reads 58, Aster, Flora, Gouda, and Holland, supporting attribution to Plateelbakkerij Flora.
Visible crazing, age-related staining, base wear, and surface marks are noted. No obvious major chip or crack is visible from the supplied images.
Dimensions: 18.5 cm (H) x 12 cm (W)
Condition: Good, with age-related wear as noted.
