Description
Zenith Gouda, also known as Fa. P.J. v/d Want AZ, was a Dutch Gouda pottery producer whose wares are recognised by collectors for their strong glaze textures and mid-century character. This jug has a rounded body, raised pouring lip, large loop handle, and warm brown, tan, and orange-brown glazed decoration. The base is marked Zenith Gouda, and a partly worn Zenith Gouda paper label remains on the body, supporting the maker attribution.
The textured and speckled glaze appears to be part of the decorative finish rather than damage. Visible age-related base wear and wear to the small paper label are noted.
