Description
A long muzzle, pointed ears and moulded coat texture define this cream-and-tan Joy China Scottie dog.
A ceramic seated Scottish Terrier with upright pointed ears, a long muzzle and moulded coat texture. The glossy cream and tan glaze has darker brown shading around the back and paws, with black eyes, nose, inner ears and collar.Identified as Joy China, part of the Boksburg East Potteries group in South Africa. The underside is impressed G130. The seated posture places the upright ears and long muzzle above the rounded body. Dark facial details and collar contrast with the lighter cream-and-tan glaze, while moulded coat texture remains visible around the neck and chest. The recorded G130 number provides a model reference rather than a precise production date. For comparison, the Joy China 4082 Glazed Terrier Dog Figurine provides a related example in the store. The Journal’s South African Pottery Makers: A Collector's Guide to Local Ceramics gives further collector context.
