Description
This PZH Gouda ceramic plate in the Polo decor is hand-painted with ochre, yellow, and brown flowers, green foliage, a warm ochre rim, and a green glazed reverse. The base is marked 2850, Polo, Gouda, and Holland, with the PZH-style Lazarus Gate device, supporting attribution to Plateelbakkerij Zuid-Holland of Gouda, Holland. The plate has a strong floral design, scalloped inner border, and crackle-glazed surface.
The number 2850 is treated as a likely shape, model, or internal production number rather than an exact date. Visible crazing, age-related staining, surface wear, base wear, and light wear to the front decoration and rim are noted.
