Description
This PZH Gouda ceramic cachepot in a decor appearing to read Toos is hand-painted with large red, pink, yellow, and orange flowers, green foliage, blue dotted accents, and a warm ochre rim. The piece has a green glazed interior and a cream crackle-glazed exterior ground. The base is marked Gouda and Holland with the PZH-style Lazarus Gate device, supporting attribution to Plateelbakkerij Zuid-Holland of Gouda, Holland.
The decor name Toos and the handwritten numbers are treated cautiously as decor, shape, model, painter, or internal production marks rather than exact dates. Visible crazing, age-related staining, surface wear, speckling, rim wear, decorated-area wear, and light base wear are noted.
